Job Description
1. Greet and escort customers to their tables.
2. Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies).
3. Inform customers about the days specials.
4. Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses.
5. Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips or by memorization.
6. Check customers IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
7. Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff.
8. Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems.
9. Deliver checks and collect bill payments.
10. Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning.
11. Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties).
12. Follow all relevant health department regulations and Provide excellent customer service to guests.
Candidate profile
Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress.
Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system (e.g. Revel POS or Toast POS). Basic math skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts.
Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in interacting with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds.
Physically fit, strong, agile and dexterous.
Previous experience in related industry or similar role.
Ability to put smile on peoples face.
A friendly and an outgoing disposition.
Terms & Conditions:-
Graduate/Diploma in Hotel Management and/or certificate in hospitality related field with 2 years+ experience. Food safety training is a plus.
Candidate must have 4* or 5* hotel experience and grown up in levels.
UAE nationals- must be bilingual fluent in Arabic & English will be preferred.
Single Accommodation & Transportation will be provided by company
